THOMASTON &045; The John Essex High School boys and girls basketball teams will bus it to Thomaston for a county game at A.L. Johnson tonight. Both Hornet teams will be coming off losses to Linden and will try to get one in the win column.

The Eagles, who got a late start this season, due to their success in the football playoffs, will seek county bragging rights.

The Eagles come into tonight game with a 2-4 record. &8220;We hope to slow down the Hornets quickness,&8221; said Jones. &8220;We play a control type game on offense. I don’t think we will have a problem rebounding.&8221;

John Essex on the other hand has won only one game this season against eight losses. Both teams have struggled, but continue to play with intensity in every game. Better results will come with their work ethic.

Tip off for tonight’s game is 5 p.m. in Thomaston.
