Cassity, Henson

Doris Virginia Phillips Henson

LINDEN &8212; Doris Virginia Phillips Henson, 85, of Linden, died July 31, 2007 at her home in Linden. Funeral services for Doris Henson were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2007 at Linden Baptist Church with the Revs. Randy Creel and David Grayson officiating. Interment followed at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallion.

A brother, R.G. Phillips, preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Charlie Henson and wife, Charlotte, Arthur Henson and wife, Minette and Mark Henson and wife, Sandy, all of Linden; Phillip Henson and wife, Denise, of Columbus, Miss; three daughters, Alice Cannon, Ruth Ulakovits and Margie Vice and husband, Billy, all of Linden; five sisters, Helen Duke of Newton, Miss., Sybil Pritchett and husband, Wallace, Lavonne Matthews and husband, George and George Ann Gunter, all of Linden, Peggy Brown and husband, Jim, of Lanette; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Donnie Henson, Ronnie Henson, Hal Cannon, Doug Cannon, Chuck Henson, Mort Ulakovits, Terry Vice, Wesley Vice, William Henson and Tyler Henson.

George William Cassity

GALLION &8212; George William Cassity, 88, of Gallion died July 16, 2007 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were held at O&8217;Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 with the Rev. Rob Wyme officiating. Interment was in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.

He is survived by wife, Gladys Wilkerson Cassity, of Gallion, a daughter, Charlotte Crepps, and husband, John, of Gallion; two sons, George Thomas Cassity and wife, Debbie, and Danny Cassity and wife, Joy, both of Gallion; one sister, Gertrude Coffman, of Seneca, S.C.; eight grandchildren and 13 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Brandon Crepps, Jeremy Cassity, Joshua Cassity, Jay Wilson, Tripp Wynee and Justin Webb.

Honorary pallbearers were Jason Cassity and Ryan Cassity.

O&8217;Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville were in charge of the arrangements.
