DEMOPOLIS &8212; After a hard regional loss at home last week against 5A No. 5 McAdory High School, the Tigers are focusing on a return to the basics during this week&8217;s practice in preparation for today&8217;s road game against Shelby County High School.

Demopolis High School coach Tom Causey said the move to focus on the basics isn&8217;t a large shift from the group&8217;s normal weekly practice regiment. He said the group is struggling, so the basics are important to cover.

Causey said it is the lack of fundamentally sound play that is hurting the group. He said the Tigers&8217; opponent this week won&8217;t have the same problem.

Causey said his group is going to have to pick up the fundamentals and integrate them into their play to do well against Shelby County.
