MARION &8212; Lois Earnestine Barnett Holmes, 83, of Marion, died Sept. 18, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. on Friday, at Marion City Cemetery in Marion, with the Rev. Thomas Fondren officiating and Kirk Funeral Marion Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Friday at Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel.

Holmes was born Oct. 11, 1923, in Perry County, born to Alvin and Mattie Cunningham Barnette.

Her siblings, Mary Lee Tucker, John Barnette, Steve Barnette, Brownie Barnette and E.B. Barnette, precede her in death.

Her daughter, Clarice Blaisdell of Montgomery and her brother, Jerry Barnette of Marion and three grandchildren survive Holmes.
