COATOPA &8212; Frank Thompson Jr., 88, died Sept. 28, 2007, at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Coatopa. The Rev. Wesley Winston officiated. Interment with military honors followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coatopa. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one son, Walter Thompson and wife, Leslie, of Chicago; three daughters, Cora Simmons of Cincinnati; Ann Harvey and husband, Jimmy, of Cincinnati; and Joann Thompson-Mitchell and husband, Jimmie, of Chicago; one brother, Albert Thompson and wife, Rosa, of Demopolis; two sisters, Bernice Kennedy of Adamsville; Mary Lee Thompson of Milwaukee; one brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law; 18 grandchildren, two of whom preceded him in death; and a host of nieces and nephews.
