Columbus Blair is in stable condition at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa after being shot three times in Eutaw Friday night.

Eutaw Police Chief Reginald Spencer said Blair, 23, and Eutaw resident Keandre Davis, 21, were involved in a verbal dispute before the King’s Village shooting occurred.

“We don’t know what they were arguing about and I am not exactly sure where he was shot,” Spencer said, “but it happened Friday night around 7.”

Blair, a Tuscaloosa native, is “doing O.K.” as of Monday afternoon, Spencer said, and Davis faces charges of first-degree assault, or attempted murder.

“He’s been arrested on criminal mischief charges and he had a warrant for failing to appear on criminal mischief. So we got him for that too,” Spencer said. “I will have to get with the DA (district attorney) to see if he’ll face first-degree assault or attempted murder. But it’ll probably be assault in the first.”
