FORKLAND &8212; Lula B. Jones, 80, of Forkland, died Dec. 9, 2007, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Linden. The Rev. Alfred Hudson is the pastor. The Rev. Randy Bowden officiated.

Johnny Burton served as master of order. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Winston and Fred Jones and her children, Fred Jones Jr., Willie Winston and Hazel Winston Noland.

Survivors include her children, Carla Russell of Forkland, Sadie Winston Spiller of Detroit, Charlie Winston and wife, Beverly, of Springfield, Mich. and Harry Winston and wife, Dorothy, of Ypsilanti, Mich.; two step-children, Theola Merriweather and David Jones of Mobile; two sisters, Lucille Hatter of Livingston and Louise Perry of Demopolis; 31 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; the Burton family of Forkland and numerous other relatives and friends.
