OPP &045; Gladys Jack Thomas Sims, 98, of Opp, died Feb. 6, 2008 at her residence. Graveside service was held at Mt. Zion with the Rev. Stan Bamberg.

She was born April 29, 1909 in Morgan Springs to Andrew Jack and Cornelia Cub Thomas; she was a school teacher for many years.

She is survived by Jan Bloxham of Opp; one son, Bruce Sims of Griffin, Ga., two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
