DEMOPOLIS &045; Malinda Lucas-Simmons, 63, of Demopolis, died Feb. 6, 2008, at Bryan W. Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at the Eastern Star Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Terry Gosa officiated. Interment followed in Mount Zion Cemetery in Demopolis. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include three children, Linda Snell and husband, Alcus, of St. Petersburg, Fla., Joyce Cunningham and husband, Anthony, of Demopolis and Freddie Simmons of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five grandchildren; a mother, Virginia Williams, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Alberta Edwards of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Eliza Williams of Demopolis; four uncles; two step-sisters, Margaret Hurns and husband, Van, of Demopolis and Daisy Mack of Mobile; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
