BIRMINGHAM &8212; Phyllis Marie Williams Cotton, formerly of Linden, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 in the Palliative Care Center of UAB Hospital in Birmingham. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2008, at the Perryman Serenity Chapel in Birmingham. A funeral service is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Sand Hill AMEZ Church in Myrtlewood.

Cotton is the daughter of the late Ella Mae Williams of Linden.

She was a member of the George P. Austin class of 1977.
