LINDEN &8212; The Industrial Development is in the final negotiation stages of acquiring new lands in the city limits, which will add more property for potential industry to choose from.

The property, which is located near the intersection of Highway 69 and U.S. Highway 43, will be the first piece of land the board has in their possession that is not in the industrial park. Davis said he hopes the land will offer a certain level of variety for businesses looking to come into the area.

The board began considering the property several months ago when it came available. After legal issues are handled, the land will be deeded to the board in hopes they can offer it to a new industry coming into the city.
