MOUNDVILLE &8212; Beauford H. Averette, 63, of Moundville, died on April 12, 2008, at his residence in Moundville. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., today at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Edwin King presiding. Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel will be directing.

Averette was born on Oct. 6, 1944, in Perry County to Burlie Hendrix and Effie Daisy Clements Averette. He was an employee of S.T. Bunn Construction Company.

Beauford is survived by Deloris Ann Sprinkle Averette, of Moundville, one daughter, Reba Averette Jerry and husband, Bishop, of Centre; three sons, Robert Aldridge, of Moundville, Matt Aldridge and wife, Debra, of Brookwood, Time Westbrook and wife, Candy, of Abernant; three sisters, Alease Johnson, and husband, Franklin, of Brent; Burlene Ingram of Centreville; Cathy Evon Smith and husband, Buddy, of Moundville; one brother, Darrell Averette, of Tuscaloosa; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

The pallbearers will be Ronnie Averette, Jerry Averette, Mike Averette, Darryl Wyatt, Michael Elliott, Patrick Elliot, Preston Winn, Tim Porter, Curtis Averette and Wayne Averette. The honorary pallbearers are John Meggs, Betty Kirk, Pan Stephenson and the Hospice of West Alabama.
