DEMOPOLIS &8212; Mary Ellen McCrory, whose son Trent Brookwood is a sophomore on the DHS football team, won $8,000 in the quarterback club draw down Thursday.

The turnout was great, event organizers said.

Total, the event gave away $10,250 on the night, retaining $16,300 for the Demopolis Quarterback Club.

The funding will also come in handy to supplement the income lost from an additional game&8217;s worth of ticket sales. The Tigers will play only four home games in 2008 as opposed to the standard five.
