Dr. and Mrs. Bony Fields Barrineau of Tuscaloosa announce the engagement of their daughter, Edith Ione Barrineau, to Timothy Dale Kortman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Kortman, of Las Vegas.

The wedding will be at 7 p.m. on July 5, 2008, at the Whispering Westervelt Gardens.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dunseth Moore of Birmingham and the late Ms. Ethel Barrineau of Demopolis. She is a 2003 graduate of American Christian Academy and a 2007 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in psychology. She will begin her master&8217;s degree study in social work in the fall of 2008.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Dale Richard Leander and the late Rev. Dale Richard Leander of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. John Henry Kortman and the late Mr. John Henry Kortman of Phoenix, Ariz. He is a 2003 graduate of Kingwood High School in Kingwood, Texas and will graduate from Auburn University in May 2008 with a degree in graphic design.
