DEMOPOLIS &8212; Barbara Carter Cox, 62, of Demopolis, died May 7, 2008, at Bryan W. Whitfield Hospital, in Demopolis. Funeral services were held at 12 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2008, at Nazareth of Galilee Baptist Church, in Demopolis. The Rev. Gerome Burrell officiated. Interment followed in St. Paul Cemetery, in Gallion. Larkin and Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis are in charge of services.

Survivors include five sons, Bryant Levon Carter, Samuel Davis, Derrick Cox and Larry Cox, all of Demopolis, and Earl Cox Jr. and wife, Monica, of St. Augustine, Fla.; two brothers, Matthew Carter and wife, Mary, of Birmingham, and the Rev. Nathaniel Carter, and wife, Cynthia, of Demopolis; one sister, Earnestine Harris, of Demopolis; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a host of extended family and friends from Demopolis and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
