DEMOPOLIS &8212; George Hubbert Jr., 89, of Demopolis, died May 17, 2008, at

his residence. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah&8217;s Witnesses in Demopolis. Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors, of Demopolis, directed the services. The remains were cremated.

His wife of 52 years, Lena Mae, and daughter, Patricia Scott, preceded him in death.

Survivors include a wife, Sallie Hubbert, of Demopolis; six children and two stepchildren, Charles Hubbert, of Detroit, Nathaniel Hubbert, of St. Louis, Mo., Rosetta Jenkins and husband, James, of Mobile, Connie Bragg and husband, Mark, of Hempstead, Texas, David Hubbert, and wife, Annie, of Demopolis, Linda Lawler, of Mobile, Michael Winston, of Huntsville, Cleo Winston, of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Susie Denny, of Detroit, and Geneva Winn, of Detroit; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
