Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wright of Demopolis announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Christina Wright, to Tyler Cole Basinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Basinger of Demopolis.

The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m. on June 7 at Whispering Cliffs in Tuscaloosa.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey E. Cannon of Linden and Mr. and Mrs. Austin C. Wright Jr. of Gallion.

She is a 2004 graduate of Demopolis High School and attended the University of West Alabama, where she received a degree in psychology and sociology. She is employed by Robertson Banking Company in Demopolis.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Hazel Miller and the late Mr. Charles A. Miller of Linden and the late Mr. Arthur A. Hall of Coatopa and Mrs. Erion Basinger and the late Mr. R.G. Basinger of York.

He is a 2002 graduate of Demopolis High School and attended Faulkner State Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he received a degree in criminal justice. He is employed by the City of Demopolis.
