James Eldon Foster

DEMOPOLIS &8212; James Eldon Foster, 96, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Woodhaven Manor in Demopolis. Funeral services were held 10 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2008, at Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Scott officiating. Interment followed at New River Cemetery in Eldridge with graveside services at 3 p.m. with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis directing the services. The family received friends at Westside Baptist Church from 9:30 a.m. until the service time, Monday.

Foster was preceded in death by his parents, James Foster and Mary Williams Foster; his wife, Lillie Killingworth Foster; his son, Billy Ray Foster; his sisters, Frankie Donavant, Hulda Williams and Kitty Donohoo; one brother, John De Foster.

Survivors include his son, James W, Foster, and his wife, Glen, of Selma; his daughter, Virginia Seales, of Demopolis, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were the Dr. Paul Ketcham and Dr. Keith Dismukes and the medical staff and Southern Care Hospice nurses and staff.
