An afternoon storm left a power pole down and a number of businesses without power on Tuesday afternoon.

Businesses from Batter Up Sports Grill, all the way to the Highway 80 Citgo on U.S. 80 west are currently without power, as are all traffic lights on that section of the highway.

Alabama Power crews were on the scene at 3:15 p.m., and estimate power to be back on within two hours according to Cory Sweeney, who is over the Demopolis area.
