DEMOPOLIS — Virginia “Jennie” Williams, 96, of Demopolis, died July 4, 2008 at Bay Front Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Fla. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on July 12, 2008 at the Friendship Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Henry Thompson officiated. Internment followed in Mt Zion Cemetery in Demopolis. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis were in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include Robert and Henry Williams of St. Petersburg, Fla., Alberta Edwards of St. Petersburg, Fla., Eliza Williams of Demopolis; step-daughter, Daisy Mack of Mobile; 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
