FORKLAND — Hattie Lee Brasfield, 99, of Forkland, died July 18, 2008 at her residence. Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the Mesopotamia Cemetery with the Rev. David Murray officiating. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed.
She was preceded in death be her husband, David Brasfield; her parents, Peter Hollins Hamilton and Mary Frances Lamb; her brothers, Spurgeon Hamilton, Ebert Hamilton, Mack Hamilton and Crystal Hamilton; her sisters, Rhina Nelson, Fannie Belle Hamilton, Ethel Mae Walker and Annie Mae Hamilton.
She is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews and a long-time employee, George Perry, of Forkland.
She was semi-retired but continued to enjoy farming until the time of her death.
