Larry Townzen

Larry Neil Townzen, Sr., 70, of Myrtlewood, passed away Aug. 18 at his home. He was born April 4, 1938 in Jerseyville, Ill. He was retired industrial painting supervisor and a member of the Church of Christ in Modesto, Ill.
Funeral services were held at Myrtlewood Baptist Church Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steve Walley. Burial was at Myrtlewood Cemetery.
He is survived by sons, Larry Neil (Vicki) Townzen, of Caroleen, N.C. and Terry J. (Lori) Franklin, of Yorba Linda, Calif.; daughters, Deborah Ann Berryhill, of Myrtlewood, Cynthia Lou (Richard) Wilkerson, of West Blocton and Susan Agatha (Ben) Miller, of Tuscaloosa; brother, Kenneth G. Townzen, of Athens, Tenn.; fiancee, Sarah Nelson, Myrtlewood; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife, Helen Benita Townzen.
Pallbearers were Benjamin Miller, Todd Gates, Michael Gates, Wesley Berryhill, Jason Clark, Justin Turner, Kenneth Townzen, Jr. and Morgan Smith.
Honorary pallbearers were W.G. gates, Willie Cabaniss, Bobby Mathers and Glen Hopper.
