Graveside services for Ovelle D. Hodges, 84, of Linden, will be held today, Aug. 28 at 11 a.m. at Rosemont Cemetery in Uniontown with Rev. Jim Watters and Rev. Anita Wilburn officiating.
Visitation will be held today from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Uniontown.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Belton Lowery, John E. Hodges, Jr. and granddaughter, Liz Moseley Dill.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary L. (Robert) Barton, of Uniontown and Joanne L. Moseley (Walter), of Columbus, Miss.; brothers, T.J. (Jean) Day, Jr., of Coden; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was a native of Dallas County and owner and operator of Jane’s Beauty Shop for 47 years.
Pallbearers will be Robert Barton, Jr., Richard Barton, John Barton, John Moseley, Brad Moseley and Jim Boxmeyer. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Day Mikios, staff and employees of Marengo Nursing Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First United Methodist Church and Rosemont Cemetery of Uniontown.
