“Trash & Treasures Along the Tenn-Tom,” billed as Mississippi’s longest yard sale, is scheduled for Friday and Saturday where Demopolis will serve as the end of the line.

The yard sale, which will encompass 234 miles, will line highways through five Mississippi counties from the Tennessee State line and south through Lowndes County, then cross into Alabama and include another three more counties.

“This is our second year,” said Gary Matthews, executive director of the Tishomingo County Development Foundation. “Last year we had reports of it going as far south as Columbus and it’s just grown from there. This year it will stretch into Alabama and will cross three counties before ending in Marengo County along Highway 43.”
