Gladys Stephens

Gladys Lorita Stephens was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Eutaw. She became “Aunt Rita” to many people. After pleasure trips and travels that she enjoyed, she made her final cruise on Oct. 14 at the age of 77.
She was retired from the United Mine Workers, and was a member of Eutaw Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her arents, Fred and Florence Stephens, and her brothers, Clyde and Fred Stephens Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Frances Heins of Grand Island, Neb., and Nell Becker of Eutaw; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Mesopotamia Cemetery on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Rick Williams officiating. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be her nephews and great-nephews. In lieu of flowers, loved ones are asked to donate to their favorite charity.
