David Harris

David Alexander Harris was born March 16, 1941. He departed this earth Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Al.
He was active in the Jaycees and was part of the team that restored the old fire truck that is used in parades in Demopolis. He was a retired military man, and a part time farmer.
He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Eloise Hamby Harris, a stepdaughter, Cindy Sims (Tim), two grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Hart (Jimmy), and Anna Katherine Sims. Also, a sister, Lucille Williams (Gary), a brother in law, Stan Hamby, and a niece, Savannah Hamby.
Services will be held at Kidd Robbins Funeral Home Chapel, Demopolis Al, on Saturday January 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Tommy Carr officiating. Visitation will be from 12:45 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors directing services.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Etheridge, Ricky Horne, Mike Black, Ronnie Willingham, Jimmy Mackin and Edwin Trest.
