Ms. Dora James, age 84 of Coatopa passed Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Bethel-Pine Baptist Church in Coatopa. Rev. F. O. Bell, Pastor and Rev. Floyd James officiated. Interment followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Demopolis. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis were entrusted with all arrangements.
She leaves to celebrate her life, one sister, Dorothy Clemmons of New York; ten children; Annie (Thessalonia) Isaac of Yeadon, PA, Bettie (Charles) Shelton of Roseville, MI, Bobbie (Therman) Parker of Williamstown, NJ, Robert and Obie James, both of Coatopa, Rev. Floyd (Evelyn) James of Demopolis, Tim James of Coatopa; a devoted daughter, who was at her bedside at her passing, Donna (James) Rhone of Demopolis, AL, McKinley James, Jr., of Detroit, MI, and Alfreda (Eric) Miller of Acworth, GA; 30 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
