Dona Hunt Hollingsworth, age 97, of Greensboro passed away on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at Colonial Haven Care and Rehabilitation.
She was a native of Pickens County, S.C., a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Wahalla, S.C., with the Rev. Dr. Garen Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis is in charge of local arrangements.
She is survived by a daughter, Jessie (Hank) Massey of Gainesville, Ga.; three sons, Thomas Hollingsworth of Demopolis, William George (Dona Gail) Hollingsworth of Gainesville, Ga., and John Alfred Burheart of Easley, S.C.; a brother-in-law, William Riley Galloway of Wahalla, S.C.; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
