James Michael Coats, age 45, of Elliston, Va., passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, in Virginia.
He was a native of Demopolis and an accountant.
Funeral services will be held in the Kidd-Robbins chapel on Saturday, March 14, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dunford Cole officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Old Springhill Cemetery. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis is directing the services.
He is survived by his mother, Naomi Ruth Coats of Gallion; his daughter, Lillian Grace Coats of Spartanburg, S.C.; two brothers, William Jackson of Gallion and Vaughan (Annette) Coats of O’Fallon, Ill.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Allen Bishop, Tom Robinson, J.C. Bates, Jeff Coats, Douglas Coats and Chuck Willis.
