Charles Ballas, a longtime industrial development board member, was honored with a resolution at Linden’s first Business and Industry Appreciation Reception last week.

Linden mayor Mitzi Gates said Ballas, having served as a member of the industrial development board for more than 30 years, was an exemplary volunteer citizen.

“What a joy it was for me to write this resolution for such a deserving recipient,” she said.

Ballas recently resigned his seat on the Linden Industrial Board, entrusting his seat at to a younger citizen.

Ballas served as city administrator and continues to serve the City of Linden in a volunteer capacity as the chairman of the utility board.
