Connie Johnson, age 83, of Demopolis passed away on Friday, April 3, 2009, at Marengo County Nursing Home in Linden.
She was born Jan. 29, 1926, in Clearfield, Pa. She was a retired business administrator for West Alabama Mental Health Center.
Visitation was held at First Baptist Church of Demopolis on Sunday, April 5, from 2 to 3 p.m. Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 5, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Bobby Shipp and the Rev. Rex Kent officiating. Burial followed in the Mount Sterling Cemetery in Mount Sterling. Bumpers Funeral Home of Butler directed the services.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Johnson, and her son, Bill Johnson.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Patti Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her niece, Betty Jay of Butler; and two grandchildren, Allison Johnson and Oakley Johnson Seaney.
Pallbearers included John W. Jay II, Lewis Johnson, Todd Johnson, Jack Cleary, Chuck Willis and Wallace Raines.
