Betty Sue Smith, age 74, of Uniontown passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at her home.
She was a retired seamstress in a manufacturing plant.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 4, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Kidd-Robbins with the Rev. Jeremy Barrett and the Rev. Earl Pike officiating. Burial followed in the Community Baptist Cemetery in Brierfield. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the services.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Smith; her son, Dale (Brenda) Cranmore of Selma; three daughters, Joyce (Ronnie) Ranier of Monroeville, Kay (Farooq) Qureshi of Cheraw, S.C., and Faye (Earl) Pike of Foley; three sisters, Ada Richey of Tampa, Fla., Rita (Sonny) Latham of Prattville, and Edna (Elmer Clanton) Edwards of Montevallo; two brothers, Milford (Penny) Smith of Lakeland, Fla., and Charles (Barbara) Smith of Monroeville; 18 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Jason Danley, Jamie Cranmore, Wade Rainer, Ronnie Rainer, Rollie Rainer and Jay Edwards. Honorary pallbearers were Milton Smith, Michael Smith and Todd Rainer.
