Marengo Academy defeated Crenshaw 18 to 0 in the first game of the AISA state tournament at Lagoon Park in Montgomery. Michelle Pritchett and Jessica Brock combined a no-hitter, with Pritchett striking out six and walking none and Brock striking out three and walking none.

Hitting for Marengo, Shelby Mathis had one double, two singles and one run batted in, Amber Walker had three singles and three RBIs, Abbey Huckabee had one double with three RBIs, Brock had two singles with one RBI and Anna Edmonds had one double and one single with one RBI.

In the second game of the day, Marengo defeated Edgewood Academy 5 to 1. Pritchett struck out seven, gave up one run and allowed one hit. Destiny Huckabee hit a home run, and Walker, Abbey Huckabee, Shelby Mathis and Anna Edmonds all had singles, and Jessica Brock had two singles and one double.

Marengo will face Lakeside Academy at 10 a.m. at Lagoon Park on Saturday.
