Gerald Wayne “Zeke” Allen, age 67, of Eutaw passed away on June 10, 2009, at Hospice of West Alabama.
He was born on Oct. 1, 1941, in Butler, to the late Robert Raymond Allen and Ida Mae Breckenridge Allen. He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a retired Alfa Insurance agent and a veteran of the U.S. National Guard.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 14, at 2 p.m. at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Pleasant Ridge with the Rev. Don Acton of Knoxville, Tenn., and the Rev. Bill Betts of Bessemer officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dogwood Chapel in Aliceville. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is directing the services.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jered Allen.
Survivors include his spouse, Faye Allen of Eutaw; two daughters, Shannon Puckett and Lea (Bryan) Faulkner, both of Eutaw; two brothers, Rodney (Betty) Allen of Demopolis and Morris Allen of Forkland; and four grandchildren, Alexis Woods, Dylan Puckett, Cole Puckett and Cody Faulkner.
Pallbearers will be Trae Carpenter, Tommy Woods, John Acton, Larry Cotton, Mark Donaldson and Matt Donaldson. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Alfa Insurance, Kaleb Donaldson and Blake Donaldson.
