Inez Anderson Winston, age 97, of Linden died on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Marengo Nursing Home in Linden.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1911, in Blue Springs. She was a seamstress and a member of Linden Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden on Friday, July 3, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Randall Mims officiating. Burial was in the Linden Memorial Park. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden directed the services.
She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Earl “Pete” Winston.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Daniels of Thomaston; her son, Dwain Farris Brown of Linden; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Trey Allen, Brent Allen, Taylor Williams, Robert Mills, Thomas Young, Joshua Daniels, Caleb Daniels and Jacob Sheets. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Crocker, Frank Aydelott, Larry Etheridge, Jackie Etheridge, Georgia Dukes, Inell Singleton and Dot Gillespie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
