Mrs. Mary Louise Smith-Borden of Demopolis, AL were held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Millwood Primitive Baptist Church, Pennington, AL (Choctaw County). Rev. Marvin Johnson officiated. Minister Willa Johnson served as the Mistress of Order. Interment followed in Woodhall Cemetery, Pennington, AL. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, AL were entrusted with all arrangements.
She leaves to pick up the mantle, her two children, Annette (Michael) Brooks of Clarksville, TN and David Elie Borden of Buffalo, NY. Four grand-children, Jeffrey P Lewis, Lacey (Charles) Bigham, Amber May and Skyelar A. Brooks, and one great-granddaughter, Jersey M. Bigham. Also sharing her memory are siblings, Robert (Rosa) Smith of Bellamy, AL, Jimmy Smith of Mobile, AL, Nelly (CD) Adams of Demopolis, AL, Nathan (Pearlie) Smith of Bessemer AL, Bessie (Eugene) Moore of Demopolis, AL, Alice (Harry) McClain, Richard (Mamie) Smith and Emma Louise (Leonard) Nelson all of Flint, MI, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ms. Willie Mae Williams of Linden, AL were held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Lewis Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Linden, AL. Rev. Raymond Sanders, Pastor, served as the eulogist. Rev. Richard Lancaster officiated. Interment followed in Rembert Hill Cemetery, Myrtlewood, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama were entrusted with all arrangements.
