Thera O. Blackburn, age 74, died on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at her home.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, at 11 a.m. at Sardis Baptist Church in Magnolia. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis directing services.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther W. Blackburn, and her parents, Nelson M. Parker and Jewel Boler Parker.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda A. Wilkerson of Dothan; two sons, W. Hugh Blackburn of Montgomery and John C. Blackburn; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a special daughter-in-law, Mrs. L.W. Blackburn Jr.; three sisters, Helen Malone of Demopolis, Annie Jean Roberts of Montgomery and Shirley Pruitt of Demopolis; two brothers, Nelson Miles (Joyce) Parker of Thomaston and Gerald L. (Bonnie) Parker of Linden; and a host of nieces and nephews.
