Dorothy Coddington

Dorothy B. Coddington, age 85, died on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at her son’s home.
She was born Feb. 25, 1924, in St. Johns, New Brunswick, Canada. She and her husband served as missionaries to Liberia for 17 years and helped to start the Christian radio station ELWA. They where members of the First Presbyterian Church of Demopolis since moving to Boligee in June 2004.
Services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Demopolis with the Rev. Tommy Carr officiating. Interment followed in Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors directed the services.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Raymond M. Coddington of Boligee; three daughters, Sharon Wilcox of Chattanooga, Tenn., Donna (Robert) Oehrig of Eden Prarie, Minn., and Linda (Russ) Campo of Browns Summit, N.C.; two sons, David (Nadine) Teichert-Coddington of Boligee and Peter (Missy) Coddington of Lancaster, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel Coolin of San Mateo, Calif.
Pallbearers were Eric Marshall, Jacob Oehrig, Jonathan Coddington, Luke Coddington, Steven Hill and Joel Coddington.
