Edward Gray Criswell, age 81, of Jachin died on Nov. 18, 2009, at Infinity Hospice of Marion, Miss.
He was a retired equipment operator for the Demopolis Cement Plant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Katie Ree Autrey Criswell; a son, Edward “Sambo” Criswell Jr.; one brother; three sistersl and one grandson, Philip Criswell.
He is survived by his wife, Allie Criswell of Jachin; a son, Don (Charlotte) Criswell of Forkland; a daughter, Sue Watts of Tuscaloosa; a sister, Betty Jean Lassiter of Orrville; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Nov. 20, at 3 p.m. at the Demopolis Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Anita Wilburn officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home of Butler is directing the services.
