Nita Cheatwood Cook Norris

Nita Cheatwood Cook Norris, age 81, of Carbon Hill passed away on Nov. 19, 2009, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl D. Norris and J.T. Cook; her parents, Duff L. and Elsie Pearline Cheatwood; a sister, Geneva Atkins; and a grandson, John Wayne Bell.
Survivors include five daughters, Dian Cook (Bill) McDonald of Northport, Brenda Cook (Johnny) Kenyon of Woodstock, Ga., Faye Cook of Carbon Hill, and Linda D. Norris and Gwen R. Bell, both of Demopolis; two sons, Milton D. (Candia) Cook of Tupelo, Miss., and David E. (Leigh Anna) Norris of Northport; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Scott McCullar officiating. Visitation was held on Nov. 23 from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial followed at Trinity Baptist Cemetery in Carbon Hill. Collins-Burke Funeral Home Inc. directed the services.
Pallbearers were Scott McDonald, Bryan McDonald, Eric Kenyon, Damien Mollere, David Norris and William Roberts Jr.
