Funeral services for Mr. James M. Weatherspoon, Sr. were held Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Larkin and Scott Funeral Home Chapel, Demopolis, AL. Minister Richard Fountain officiated. Interment followed in Old Greene Oak Cemetery, Forkland, AL. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama were entrusted with all arrangements.
James leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Mable W. Phillips of Huntsville, AL; four granddaughters, Aquarius (Lamar) Prince of Queens, NY, Davitta Phillips, Laketta Phillips and Kimberly Phillips, all of Huntsville, AL, one grandson, Marcus James Smith of Montgomery, AL; special nephew, Carey (Susie) Weatherspoon of Newbern, AL; special nieces, Juanita (James) Edwards and Martha Jefferies, both of Chicago, IL; one sister-in-law, Ellerine Weston of Havanna, AL; a very devoted cousin Inez Murdock of Demopolis, AL; special friends, Adeline Taylor and Inez Branch, both of Demopolis, AL and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
