A contribution made in honor of Beverly’s father, David Beverly Sr., helped to establish a scholarship fund at Robertson Banking Company in December. The first recipient of the annual scholarship will be announced at the banquet. The Linden High School championship football team of 1959 will also be recognized at the banquet.

Those wanting to make a donation to the scholarship fund may send a check to Hall of Fame board member Tom Boggs, P.O. Box 784, Demopolis, AL 36732, or to Hall of Fame board member Dr. Tony Speegle, 1012 Jacob Dr., Demopolis, AL 36732. The Marengo County Sports Hall of Fame is a tax-exempt organization, and contributions can be deducted on income taxes.

Tickets to the Hall of Fame banquet may be bought from Boggs or Speegle or any Hall of Fame board member. Tickets are also available from Ann Yelverton at the First Bank of Linden, Olen Kerby at Sweet Water State Bank in Demopolis or Stratton Lewis at Sweet Water State Bank in Sweet Water.
