Dear editor, The Times:
To Mayor Mike Grayson and the City of Demopolis, we would like to say “Thank you” for our Thanksgiving Day dinner.
We were able to serve those in our community who were in need of a hot dinner.
Our thanks go out to the following churches: Nazareth of Galilee and the Rev. Wendell Charleston, Mount Zion and the Rev. Elister Charleston, Jerusalem and the Rev. moderator Sid Rowser, St. Leo and Father Larry Shinnick, Evening Star and the Rev. Floyd James, and Mount Pilgrim and the Rev. Albert Hutson.
Our thanks also go out to the following businesses: attorney Barrown Lankster, Colony Office Products, Kris Mullen State Farm, A.J. McCampbell State Farm, Trade and Traffic, The Mustard Seed, Thomas Bell Mortgages, Auto Express, The Demopolis Times, Dr. Ronnie Chu, Dr. Maurice Fitz-Gerald and Dr. Paul Ketcham.
We also want to thank our servers for the day and Tasha Charleston, our driver.
Truly, we are most grateful to all who did their parts because Demopolis is, as its motto says, “the city of the people.” See you in July!
