Mrs. Manie Louise McGee, age 75, died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Funeral services will be 2: 00 P.M. Saturday, January 23, 2010 at The First Baptist Church of Demopolis with Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating. Interment will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors directing the services.
The McGee family will receive friends at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel Friday, January 22, 2010 form 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her husband, Don McGee.
Survivors include her three sons, James Donald “Donnie” McGee, Jr. (Millie) and their children, Emilie and Andy, Dennis Melvin McGee (Marsha) and their son, Brooks; David Neal McGee (Donna) and their daughters Brittany and Brandi.
Two sisters, Janice Peterson of Century, FL and Ellen Rowell of Repton, AL.
Three brothers, Sam Eugene Tucker of Pensacola, FL, John Houston Tucker of Dawson, AL and Roger Allen “Buddy” Tucker of Frisco City, AL
Pallbearers will be Bruce Marchand, Gus Agee, Byron Randall, Stephen Cupit, Wayne Womack and Roger Allen “Buddy” Tucker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Perry, Joe Richie, Tom Compton, Melvin McPherson, Don Schroeder, Josh Bohannon and members of Hugh Lloyd’s Sunday School Class.
Mrs. McGee has been a resident of Demopolis since 1961 and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Demopolis and the Hugh Lloyd Sunday School Class. She and her family owned several businesses in the Demopolis area including Plaza Golf Carts on Hwy 80 West.
