William Thrash

William Claude Thrash, age 75, died on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
He was born in Robjohn in Choctaw County, and was a resident of Forkland for the past 15 years.
He was a retired iron worker, a member of Local 92 of Birmingham, and he served in the U.S. Army in the 84th Armored Engineer Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Nathan Thrash and Adelle Powell Thrash; a sister-in-law, Pat Thrash; and a brother-in-law, Jimmy Robinson.
Survivors include his daughter, Janice (Steve) Ramsey of Brookwood; three grandchildren, Brandy Holbrook, Todd Morrison and Ben Burchfield; two great-grandchildren, Jessica Holbrook and Caleb Morrison; his sister, Dorothy Robinson of Robertsdale; his brother, James Earl Thrash of Forkland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dunford Cole officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis directing the services.
Pallbearers will be James Thrash Jr., Louie Jines, Bubba Bryant and Gary Phillips.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mary Harper Starke Center as well as the staff of Legacy Health and Rehabilitation of Pleasant Grove for their care and dedication.
