Locals arrested in Greensboro meth raid

Sunday, March 14, at approximately 7:35 p.m., agents of the Fourth Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, Bibb County Sheriff Department Special Meth Unit, Hale County Sheriff Department, and Marengo County Sheriff Department executed a search warrant on 1264 County Road 28, in Greensboro. The agents found a working Meth Lab in operation on the property as described in the search warrant. Several subjects were inside the lab and they all ran outside in a nearby wooded area but were all taken into custody by law enforcement. Law enforcement also found what appeared to be Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Pills, Firearms, and Drug Paraphernalia. Additionally, law enforcement recovered a stolen R.V., Camper that was reported stolen from Jefferson County.

Carey “Scooter” Tidmore, 40, of Greensboro, was arrested along with Stacey D. King, 22, of Linden, Jack Donald Parr Jr., 40, of Greensboro, Thad Martin Moseley, 29, of Demopolis, and Allen Simms Cole, 43, of Greensboro, who was later arrested after he was found hidden under the RV camper near the shop where the Meth lab was located. Charges for these subjects range from Trafficking Meth, Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance 1st, Unlawful Possession of Precursor Chemicals, Unlawful Possession of Control Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession Drug Paraphernalia, Receiving Stolen Property 1st, and Resist Arrest.

District Attorney Michael Jackson’s goal is to eliminate use of Meth and other illegal substances within the Fourth Judicial Circuit. People who choose to violate these laws will be prosecuted to the fullest. Tactics such as exposure and education will be employed in order to promote awareness of the life threatening consequences of Meth and other illegal substances within the community. This message will be delivered throughout the Fourth Judicial Circuit in all forms of media including TV, outdoor billboards, radio, newspapers, magazines and in variety of places in your town where young gather.
