Funeral services for Luvenia Walker of Stone Mountain, Ga., formerly of Cuba, were held on Saturday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church of Cuba Pastor Willie D. Wilson, officiated and Melissa Wood served as the mistress of order. Interment followed in Morning Star Church Cemetery. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the services.
Survivors include eight children, Ella Moore, Sarah Walker, David Walker, and Gloria (Willie) Fortner, all of Cuba, Robert (Pam) Barlow and Ellis Barlow, both of Chicago, Ill., Loretta (Robert) Powell of Stone Mountain, Ga., Gwen Harvey and Tony Jones of Snellville, Ga.; six stepchildren, Ben (Mary) Walker, Olivia (Richard) Wilson and Joe (Maggie) Walker, all of Cuba, Annie B. Carlisle of Lauderdale, Miss. and Evelyn (William) McKlurskin of New Jersey; one brother, Standford Barlow of St. Louis, Mo.; 30 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
