Funeral services for Carrie Harris of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Coatopa, were held on Sunday, April 17, at noon at Bethel Pine Baptist Church in Coatopa. Minister F.O. Bell is the pastor. Minister Willie J. Ivory Sr. officiated. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coatopa. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the services.
Survivors include five children, James (Rose) Harris, Henry (Catherine) Harris, Alice Harris, Ann Harris and Diana Throckmorton, all of Michigan; 11 gradchildren, Janice (Robert) Lamparski, Lorraine Harris, Serina (Robert) Kozlowski, Randy (Asya) Harris, Wendy Brown, Tameka Harris, Alesha Brown and Krystal Silas, all of Michigan, Wandy (Ray) Lee of Illinois, Marvin (Regenia) Harris of Virginia and William Harris of Arizona; a close friend, Tom A. Beville; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ora Dee Smith of Alabama; a brother-in-law, Fred Harris of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews and godchildren.
