Funeral services for Lakeshia Dollison-Witherspoon of Demopolis were held on Saturday, April 17, at 1 p.m. at Larkin and Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Demopolis. Minister Mitchell Congress officiated. Shameka Smith served as the mistress of order. Interment followed in Mount Canaan Cemetery in Demopolis. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the services.
Survivors include three children, Keontai Witherspoon, Deonte Witherspoon and TraShawn Witherspoon, all of Birmingham; one sister, Sharon Dollison of Birmingham; a brother, Johnathan Dollison of Birmingham; two aunts, Jo-Anne Smith and Barbara (Sylvester) Rembert; one great-aunt, Hollie (Ron) Johnson of Canton, Ohio; one great-uncle, Cleaphus Waiters of Los Angeles, Calif.; one stepsister, Sylvia (Joe) Dixon; six cousins, Aretha Gracie, Eugene Poleate, Milton Poleate, Rontrerreal (LaKeshia) Smith and Markus Harris and Sylvekia Rembert, both of Tuscaloosa; three great-cousins, Kimberly Smith, Zarqueshia Taylor and Rontrerreal Smith Jr.; one great-great-cousin, Christopher Smith; one sister-in-law, Edna McKinley Smith; three special friends, Ida Armstead, Nicole Caldwell and Fannie Croxton; a stepmother, Sandra Brocks; and a host of other relatives and friends.
