Van “Roger” Jones

Funeral services for Van “Roger” Jones of Gallion were held on Friday, April 16, at 1 p.m. at John the Baptist Church in Gallion. Minister Brian McCullough officiated. Interment followed in John the Baptist Cemetery. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the services.
Survivors include his stepmother, Hattie Jones of Gallion; one daughter, LaTonya Campbell of Gallion; three stepchildren whom he reared, Suquanna Campbell, Tywan Campbell and Taywan Campbell, all of Demopolis; three grandchildren, Jermaine Scott Jr., Ariana Johnson and JaMarcus Jackson, all of Birmingham; three sisters, Annie (Jimmy) Branch of Gallion, and Joann Bennett and Vernita Bruno, both of Demopolis; two brothers, his twin, Von Jones of Demopolis and John (Lillie) Hamlett of Augusta, Ga.; an aunt, Mary Mayton of Faunsdale; a brother-in-law, Alvin Henry of Paulding, Ohio; two close friends, Pamela Scott of Demopolis and Grover Jeffries of Gallion; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
